Racing at the Manila Jockey Club is conducted weekly,  alternating with the Philippine Racing Club, under the rules and regulations promulgated by the Philippine Racing Commission pursuant to Presidential Decree 420.

Races here are held on Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. The races start at about 6:00 PM for Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with 9 races each, while Saturdays and Sundays start at 1:30 PM with 13 or 14 races each. 

Inscription of horses for Tuesday through Sunday races closes until the last race on Sunday of the preceding racing week.

Declaration of horses is closed at 5:00 PM Monday but have until 9:00 AM Tuesday for changes, non-declaration (ND) or change of jockeys only. Monday 10:30 AM is the drawing of lots and in the evening the racing program for Tuesday and Wednesday are completed. Wednesday 10:30 am for Thursday and Friday. Friday 10:30 am for Saturday and Sunday.
